Later on in the podcast, Da Prez Kris and I, your Supremely Irreverend Doctor Randy Tyson, discuss the minor revolution that happened here in Alberta with the complete self-annihilation of a party that ruled over this province for 44 years; Scientologists travel to Nepal (http://www NULL.globalpost NULL.com/article/6550051/2015/05/15/scientologists-are-nepal-trying-heal-trauma-victims) to heal earthquake victims via “ooga-booga”; and Catholic authority yet again demonstrates its harmful nature, this time in the Catholic schools forcing a transgender student (http://www NULL.edmontonjournal NULL.com/Catholic+trustee+could+face+sanctions+speaking+against+board+decision+transgendered+student/11056723/story NULL.html) who identifies as a girl use the boys washroom. But first we talk on recent personal events, including Kris’ trip to the American Humanist Association conference and my prostate adventures, and on a more serious note yet another blogger in Bangladesh has been murdered (http://www NULL.aljazeera NULL.com/news/2015/05/150512043430832 NULL.html) by a mob for exercising his free speech (supposedly constitutionally protected).
A shameless skeptic with no patience for foolish nonsense and relishes nothing more than busting balloons filled with hot air. And, yes. I'm an atheist, for the same reason that I am a-homeopathic, a-chiropractic, a-reiki, etc. Atheism is a conclusion of modern skepticism applied to religious claims every bit as much as I don't buy into the Bigfoot myth. You want me to accept your claim? Show mete evidence, and it had best be better than the typical "Oh, but the evidence is all around you!" That gets no traction with me. But that doesn't mean my mind can't be changed. I'm no contrarian. I just happen to have more respect for myself than to fall for arguments like "You can't prove it isn't true!"
